In the final seconds of this past week’s St. Louis Rams-Washington Redskins game, lineman Richie Incognito almost blew it for the Rams by mouthing off to a referee and getting a 15 yard unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called against him. It almost cost the Rams the game.
Instead of kicker Josh Brown having an easy field goal attempt, the ball was moved so far back that Brown was forced to kick a 49-yard field goal on the last play of the game. Fortunately, he made it and the Rams won, 19-17. But what about the next time the game is on the line and Incognito lets loose another blast at a referee? Someone really needs to help Richie take a look at his erratic behavior. It’s pretty obvious that he has some demons (unresolved issues) in his personal life that are surfacing in the form of misdirected anger, on and off the playing field.
